Constructivism
Constructivism is a theory about the learning style of students. Constructivism perspective of learning stresses on the point that learners have their own style of  learning by making meaning from the knowledge.
Here are some constructivist perspectives:

J. Piaget
Knowledge is processed by accommodation & assimilation.
D.A.Kolb
Experiential learning - learning by actively participating in the activities.
J.Biggs
Constructive Alignment - outcomes, activities & approach should be clearly known.

The constructivist theories draw conclusions that students learn by themselves and through social interactions. Furthermore, understanding of the learners are based on their active participation and relating the learning activities to their prior knowledge.
